Job summary

Responsibilities include analyzing design proposals, ensuring code compliance, coordinating with clients and other disciplines, and contributing to major projects in challenging Arctic conditions. Remote work may be considered case-by-case.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Minimum 2 years oil and gas industry experience preferred.
• EIT or FE certification preferred.
• Senior level: 4–10 years oil and gas experience; PE license strongly desired.
• PE license strongly desired; experience with Arctic/Cold regions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Researches and analyzes data from proposals to determine design feasibility.
• Analyzes codes and standards to meet fire protection objectives.
• Works with clients to develop scope, estimates, and schedules.
• Reviews and approves project drawings, standards, and specifications.
• Develops major equipment, material selection, and construction specifications.
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software to perform tasks.
• Coordinates activities with other disciplines and project teams.
• Provides technical direction and support to team members.
• Ensures compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Evaluates field installations and recommends design modifications.
• Demonstrates professional skills in teamwork, problem solving and client responsiveness.
