Job summary

NANA Worley in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Fire and Gas Design Engineer to apply engineering principles to design, modify or develop facilities, testing, machines, equipment or processes used in processing or manufacturing products.

You will produce fire and gas designs, prepare reports and plans, ensure client satisfaction, and coordinate with field personnel. Proficiency with AutoCAD and SAP/EDDI is preferred; offshore oil and gas experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years design experience with IBC, IFC and national fire codes.
• Technical skills in electrical, instrumentation, automation, and fire and gas systems.
• Proficient with AutoCAD 12/13/14 and related design tools.
• Experience with SAP, EDDI or Documentum is preferred.
• Oil and gas experience, offshore Gulf of Mexico, is a plus.
• NICET Fire Technology certification or Alaska Fire Permit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce fire and gas designs conforming to codes and specs.
• Prepare reports, plans, schedules and design packages.
• Ensure packages meet client expectations and coordinate with project staff.
• Develop design packages including scopes, estimates and wiring diagrams.
• Interpret and apply codes and standards to ensure quality designs.
• Support field construction with technical advice and records.
