Job summary

NANA Worley is seeking Electrical Designers for Anchorage, AK in a full-time, non-rotational role with on-site headquarters. Remote work may be considered case by case.

This position supports multiple classifications from Entry-level to Principal Designer based on experience, with responsibilities spanning code compliance, design development, AutoCAD tasks, and field-constructive guidance. Preference given to those with high voltage power lines experience and Arctic/cold-weather backgrounds,

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of work experience, with oil and gas industry experience preferred.
• Senior Designer: 8–15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Staff Designer: 15+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry; or
• Associate degree in engineering technology, electrical design, or related degree from an accredited institution and 10+ years of experience.
• Senior Staff Designer: 17+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry; or
• Associate degree in engineering technology, electrical design, or related degree from an accredited institution and 15+ years of experience.
• Principal Designer: 20+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry; or
• 15+ years of experience with significant Lead Designer role.
• Preferred Arctic/cold weather experience.
• 3-D modeling experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret codes, standards and specs to produce compliant designs.
• Review vendor data and resolve design issues.
• Develop material takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Operate AutoCAD and CAD tools to perform design tasks.
• Provide technical guidance and training to others.
• Design electrical equipment and systems for industrial use.
• Assess feasibility of new plant equipment modifications.
