Job summary

Total Safety in Mobile, AL is seeking a Fire Technician II to perform shop/field inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of fire equipment including extinguishers, gas detectors, foam and sprinkler systems. You will document inspections, brief pre/post job, operate safety equipment, and ensure adherence to NFPA, OSHA and CFR/Coast Guard rules.

Offshore work eligibility and NICET certification may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NFPA, OSHA, and regulatory standards relevant to fire protection.
• Familiarity with CFR, Coast Guard and ABS rules for offshore work.
• Experience installing gas detection and fire suppression systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform shop or field inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire equipment.
• Document inspections and repairs with customer signature for invoicing.
• Conduct visual inspections and report deficiencies with corrective actions.
• Pre-job, job update, and post-job briefs with team.
• Assist with stocking, staging, and loading orders for delivery.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and equipment.
• Operate safety and communication systems and use PPE.
• Possess training to work onshore and offshore as required.
