Job summary

Systems Engineering Associates Corporation seeks qualified Fire Control Technicians acting as Systems Engineers in Newport, RI. Roles include design, integration and testing of submarine combat systems, with lab-based verification and on-site support for BYG-1 and Tomahawk systems. Travel to ships and shore sites is expected.

Candidates must have 6 years of submarine combat systems experience and hold U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent military experience with US Navy submarine combat systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate and test submarine combat systems.
• Provide operational support for 3rd party targeting, BYG-1 combat control and Tomahawk systems.
• Identify and analyze software/hardware failures and determine root causes.
• Develop lab test plans and evaluate new system capabilities.
• Prepare clear problem reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
