SEACORP is seeking a Fire Control Technician - Test Engineer for full-time work in Newport, RI. The role involves providing lab test support for SWFTS and related weapon systems, with duties spanning system testing, reporting, and collaboration with program engineers.

Qualified candidates will have a BS in engineering or 8 years of direct combat systems experience, plus an Active Secret clearance. Location: Middletown, RI, with occasional travel to test events and labs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering required.
• 8 years of direct combat systems/military experience acceptable in lieu of BS.
• 3 years of related submarine combat systems experience with BS.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide lab test support evaluating system capabilities against requirements.
• Attend meetings to present test results and findings.
• Write clear test reports detailing results and issues.
• Collaborate with engineers to review system design requirements and testing needs.
• Identify, investigate and analyze software and hardware failures to determine root causes.
• Develop troubleshooting procedures and temporary workarounds.
• Perform risk analysis for impact on operational capabilities.
