Amentum is seeking a Mid-to-Senior AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System Technician to support the Newport News, VA site. This full-time role focuses on hands-on support for sophisticated submarine‑system equipment and involves engineering tasks, testing, and field installations.

The ideal candidate brings an active Secret clearance, relevant education or electronics training, and substantial experience with networking, Windows servers, and naval combat systems. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Five years practical experience or degree with three years experience.
• Ten years practical experience for Senior level with related training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with test/verification of AN/BYG-1 systems.
• Support Engineering Change Instructions (ECI) implementation.
• Create maintenance data, manuals, troubleshooting steps, and drawings.
• Support systems engineering activities with SME guidance.
• Interface with on-site customer for installation, testing, and surveys.
• Ensure compliance with docs, plans, specs, and test procedures.
