Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Fire Service Technician with programming, troubleshooting, and repair capabilities to service life safety systems. This role works with our service team and clients to ensure repairs restore performance and reliability.

You will troubleshoot complex systems, read fire system drawings, and provide repair reports per NFPA. A strong safety mindset, communication skills, and ability to train others are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing Fire Life Safety systems including NFPA 72 requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret fire system drawings and schematics.
• Proven ability to program and troubleshoot fire alarm systems using laptops.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing Fire and Life Safety systems (conventional, addressable, voice, smoke control, networked solutions).
• Use troubleshooting tools to analyze fault conditions and ensure circuit integrity.
• Produce repair reports per NFPA for customer acceptance and billing.
• Program systems via laptop computers and maintain system coverage.
• Assist in managing vehicle inventory and repair tools.
• Provide guidance and expertise to other technicians.
