Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Technician in Vista, CA to program, commission, and troubleshoot complex fire alarm systems. You will collaborate with sales, project teams, and clients to ensure sound design and seamless installation, with attention to detail and strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2–5 years’ experience, NICET I certification, OSHA 10, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–5 years of technician experience in fire-life safety.
• Ability to program and commission mid-range fire alarm systems independently.
• NFPA 72 knowledge and related code familiarity.
• NICET I certification and OSHA 10 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with engineering, project management, and sales for successful execution.
• Produce field surveys, daily project logs, and commissioning reports.
• Program and commission fire alarm systems leading to customer acceptance by AHJs.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and resolve them effectively.
• Manage job scheduling and progress with a focus on quality and cost control.
• Demonstrate equipment operation to customers and explain proper use.
