Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Technician with programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting capabilities. You will work with sales, field teams, and clients to ensure sound design and seamless installation of fire alarm solutions.

The role requires 2–5 years in fire-life safety, NFPA knowledge, and the ability to program and commission mid-range fire alarm systems independently. Travel and OSHA 10 may be involved.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a technician role within the fire-life safety industry.
• Ability to program and commission mid-range fire alarm systems independently.
• Ability to terminate fire alarm control units and field equipment with minimal supervision.
• Intermediate knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable fire codes.
• Ability to read fire system design drawings and coordinate with onsite teams.

Responsabilités

• Review system layouts and coordinate with engineering, project management, and sales for project success.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs of activity.
• Program and commission complex fire alarm systems leading to final acceptance by customers and AHJs.
• Produce commissioning and inspection reports in accordance with NFPA.
• Troubleshoot issues and resolve them effectively; deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Program systems via laptop and assist in job scheduling and inventory oversight.
