Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Technician with programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting capabilities. This role collaborates with our sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure sound design and seamless installation and commissioning of fire alarm solutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years in a fire-life safety technician role.
• Ability to program and commission mid-range fire alarm systems independently.
• Read fire system design drawings.
• OSHA 10 certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with engineering, project management, and sales for successful execution.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs.
• Program and commission complex fire alarm systems to final AHJ acceptance.
• Create commissioning and inspection reports per NFPA.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and resolve them effectively.
• Deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Program systems via laptop.
• Assist in project inventory oversight and vehicle inventory.
• Provide guidance to other technicians and manage job progress efficiently.
