Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Service Technician for the Harleysville, PA area to service and maintain commercial fire alarm systems across the greater Philadelphia region. You will perform testing, inspections, and repairs, generate reports, and mentor junior technicians.

The role supports mid-to-senior level responsibilities and requires NICET Level 2 within 12 months along with a valid US driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems (mid-level).
• 3+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems (senior-level).
• Must be willing and able to differentiate types/colors of wire, use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted.
• Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 2 within 12 months.
• Must be able to read/understand design and construction documents.
• Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens’ fleet vehicle program.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements.
• Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs.
• Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality; report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material.
• Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards.
• Quote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects.
• Plan work with Lead Technicians and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively.
