Job summary

Siemens Fire Alarm Systems is seeking a Service Technician to install, inspect, test, and repair commercial fire alarm systems at our Harleysville, PA location serving the greater Philadelphia area.

Ideal candidates will have 1+ years mid-level or 3+ years senior-level experience, be able to read construction documents, and obtain NICET Level 2 within 12 months. A valid driver’s license and legal work status in the US are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems (mid-level)
• 3+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems (senior-level)
• Must be willing and able to differentiate types/colors of wire, use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
• Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 2 within 12 months
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read/understand design and construction documents
• Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
• legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements
• Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs
• Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality
• Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards
• Quote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects
• Plan work with Lead Technicians and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively
