Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Service Technician to service and maintain commercial fire alarm systems across Central and Northern Maine. This field-based role requires regular travel and staying connected with customers in Augusta, Bangor, Waterville and surrounding communities.

You will perform testing and inspections, document results, troubleshoot and repair issues, and mentor less experienced technicians while upholding code compliance and customer safety.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems.
• Must be able to differentiate wire types/colors, use hand tools, and operate a laptop, email, smartphone and tablet; able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• NICET II Fire Alarm Certification is required.
• Must be 18+ with a valid driver's license and eligibility for Siemens fleet vehicle program.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements.
• Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs.
• Respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality; report activities completed or deferred.
• Identify code and non-conformance issues and ensure adherence to standards.
• Quote small repair jobs and provide parts and labor details for estimates and sales.
• Plan work with mentors and supervisors to strategize tasks.
