Qualifications

• The Fire Alarm Service Technician inspects, tests, maintains and repairs fire alarm systems in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• The role helps safeguard lives and property through proactive life-safety system care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire alarm components to verify proper operation.
• Prepare detailed reports documenting inspection findings, test results and any deficiencies or non-compliance issues.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs to wiring, circuitry, devices and software.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies, diagnosing issues and restoring system functionality.
• Perform preventive maintenance such as cleaning, calibration and battery replacement.
• Document all service activities using the ServiceTrade platform.
• Collaborate with Deficiency Sellers to provide inspection reports and repair estimates.
• Interact with clients to schedule work and discuss findings and recommendations.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinators to optimize work orders and scheduling.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in line with procedures.
