Job Title:

Fire Alarm System Inspector

Salary:

$74,000.00 - $104,000.00 per year

Job Summary:

As a fire alarm system inspector, you will be responsible for completing service requests at various locations within your territory. We seek licensed Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspectors. Your duties include inspecting and testing fire alarm systems to ensure they meet NFPA standards, adjusting or repairing malfunctioning systems, and performing basic sprinkler inspections. We are looking for a dependable, self-starter with a proactive attitude to work efficiently in our fast-paced environment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

1. Schedule fire alarm and sprinkler system inspections.
2. Perform tests and inspections on fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
3. Coordinate with local fire departments to avoid response during testing.
4. Repair systems if necessary or inform the Service Department of customer needs.
5. Advise customers of test and inspection results.
6. Maintain excellent communication with your Area Coordinator regarding inspections and scheduling.
7. Possess good written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.

Position Details

• Full-time position with 40+ hours weekly.
• Responsible for meeting service calls efficiently.
• Identify emergencies and respond promptly to support customers.
• Use maps and Google Maps for effective scheduling.

Customer Service Responsibilities

• Manage incoming calls with customers and office staff.
• Keep thorough documentation of service calls.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Apple iPad.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with flexibility.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs. and use an 8-ft ladder.
• Electrical/low voltage certification and/or construction background a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Travel required; remote work.
