Job summary

Johnson Controls in Lenexa, KS, is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Supervisor to lead the daily fire alarm service function, coordinate technicians and resources, and ensure safety, efficiency, and high standards on every job.

You will oversee schedules, coach staff, monitor service activity, and drive quality and customer satisfaction across the department, with travel to service locations as required and a strong focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising field operations in fire alarm or life-safety service.
• Proven ability to coordinate employees, schedules, and customer service activities.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and task prioritization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to coach and hold staff accountable for performance and company standards.
• Knowledge of safety practices and promoting policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily fire alarm service operations, including scheduling, dispatching, workload assignments, and resource coordination.
• Provide leadership, coaching, direction, and support to service technicians to build productivity and teamwork.
• Monitor daily service activity and ensure commitments are met.
• Coordinate with customers, technicians, management, purchasing, and internal departments to ensure timely service delivery.
• Manage escalated customer concerns and scheduling challenges in a professional manner.
• Review work orders and documentation for accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing PPE and safe work practices.
• Identify unsafe conditions and elevate issues appropriately.
• Support compliance with fire codes, NFPA standards, OSHA requirements, and site requirements.
• Track performance metrics and customer satisfaction; investigate complaints and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with onboarding, performance evaluations, and staff development.
