Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Alarm & Security Technician to install, troubleshoot, service, and repair fire alarm and security systems. You will work with diverse fault diagnostics, test equipment, and safety procedures, traveling locally as needed.

Applicants should have NICET Level 1 certification and at least 2 years in fire life safety, with strong English communication and basic computer skills to document work orders and use software tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• NICET or state-specific certification preferred.
• 2 years Fire Life Safety industry experience, specifically in Fire Alarm, required.
• NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification, required.
• 2 years of professional computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems with minimal supervision.
• Program and test fire alarm systems; use test equipment and software as needed.
• Troubleshoot faults, including ground faults in fire alarm systems.
• Repair or replace damaged fire alarm components such as FACP and power supply.
• Maintain safety documentation and follow company safety policies.
• Complete documentation on work orders and track via Field Service Lightning.
