Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Alarm & Security Technician in Texas to install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems across local sites. You will use test equipment, follow codes, and program various systems while maintaining clear communication with customers and monitoring companies.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent and NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification, with 2 years of Fire Life Safety experience and basic computer skills;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification required.
• 2 years Fire Life Safety Industry experience in Fire Alarm required.
• 2 years of professional computer skills preferred.
• Experience with Sage 300 CRE or BI systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems.
• Use test equipment to repair or replace system components.
• Follow fire alarm codes and standards.
• Program and troubleshoot fire alarm systems and components.
• Communicate with customers and monitoring companies professionally.
• Complete documentation and safety procedures on each project.
• Travel locally up to 90% and maintain company vehicle and safety policies.
