Job summary

Summit Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Alarm & Security Technician to install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and life safety systems with minimal supervision.

The role requires 2 years of Fire Life Safety experience, NICET Level 1 preferred, and experience with Sage 300 CRE or similar software. You will document work orders and follow safety programs, communicating professionally with customers and monitoring companies on on-site assignments in New Hudson, MI.

Qualifications

• 2 years Fire Life Safety industry experience, specifically in Fire Alarm.
• NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification desired.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and life safety systems with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot faults including ground faults in fire alarm systems.
• Repair or replace damaged fire alarm components.
• Maintain knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards.
• Program and software knowledge for various fire alarm systems.
• Document work orders and use Field Service Lightning to track tasks.
• Follow safety programs and participate in toolbox talks.
• On-site travel up to 20%.
