Job summary

Wachter seeks experienced Fire Alarm/Intrusion technicians to install, test and maintain fire alarm systems in commercial and retail locations nationwide. You will run low-voltage cabling, install cable support structures, and verify operation of newly installed systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field installation experience in security environments (fire alarm and/or intrusion).
• Current and valid state-required Physical Security and/or Life Safety license.
• NFPA 70/72 knowledge and code familiarity.
• Experience reading blueprints and site maps.
• Willingness to travel 2–6 weeks at a time.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems in commercial settings.
• Run low-voltage cabling and install support structures.
• Test systems and verify operation after installation and repairs.
• Troubleshoot cable networks and fire alarm panels.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and site safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and coordinate with team.
