Job summary

Wachter, Inc. seeks experienced Fire Alarm/Intrusion Technicians to install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems across commercial and retail locations nationwide. Candidates should be skilled in low-voltage cabling, reading blueprints, and working at heights, with travel and safety responsibilities emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience in field installation within security environments (Fire Alarm or Intrusion).
• Current valid state license for Physical Security and/or Life Safety.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70/72 standards.
• Experience reading blueprints and site maps.
• Able to work at heights (20–60 ft) with lifts.
• Comfort with travel and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems in commercial environments.
• Run low-voltage cable runs and install cable support structures.
• Test systems to ensure functionality of cables and devices.
• Troubleshoot fire alarm panels and cable networks.
• Ensure installations meet NFPA 70/72 and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of performed work.
