Job summary

Wachter, Inc. seeks experienced Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Burglar Installation Technicians to install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems for commercial locations nationwide.

The role requires running low‑voltage cabling, lifting, and working at heights, with travel blocks of 2–6 weeks and per‑Diem when traveling. Ideal candidates have NFPA knowledge, blueprints reading skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Field installation experience in fire alarm or intrusion systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70/72.
• Ability to read blueprints and site maps.
• Willingness to travel extensively (2–6 weeks blocks).
• Valid Driver's license with clean record.
• Proficiency with smartphones and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems in commercial spaces.
• Run low‑voltage cabling and install supporting structures.
• Test systems to ensure operations of panels and devices.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and safety requirements.
• Document work accurately and coordinate with team during pre‑installation planning.
