Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking experienced Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Burglar Installation Technicians to install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems across commercial and retail locations nationwide.

The role requires travel and a strong commitment to safety, with long-term employment and competitive pay. Ideal candidates will have NFPA knowledge, valid life-safety licenses, ability to read blueprints, and experience with low-voltage wiring, lifts, and working at heights.

Qualifications

• Proven field installation experience in security environments (fire alarm and/or intrusion).
• Licensing in Physical Security or Life Safety required.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems infrastructure.
• Run low-voltage cabling in commercial buildings; drill concrete walls and conduit as needed.
• Install cable support structures (j-hooks, racks, innerduct).
• Test newly installed cabling and devices for operation.
• Troubleshoot cable networks and fire alarm panels.
• Ensure installations meet NFPA 70/72 standards.
• Collaborate on pre-install design and planning.
• Maintain accurate records of all work.
• Adhere to project safety requirements per Wachter and OSHA.
