Job summary

Johnson Controls is looking for an HVAC Equipment Service Technician 3 to lead on-site fire alarm projects, coordinate design, programming, installation, and commissioning. You will balance customer satisfaction with project profitability and pursue change orders when appropriate.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience with installation and service of fire alarm
• Understand electricity and electronics; aptitude for troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently and provide strong customer service
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and maintain a clean driving record
• Background check, drug screen, and credit check required
• NICET and DCJS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site planning, execution, and completion of fire alarm projects.
• Coordinate hardware design, programming, installation, and commissioning.
• Manage project costs, billings, and collections.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance on site.
• Provide coaching to System Technicians and Electricians.
• Prepare documentation and warranty materials for clients.
