Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Alarm Construction Manager to lead on-site installation projects across commercial properties, coordinating technicians, schedules, and safety. You will drive results with hands-on leadership and strong communication with clients and partners.

The role requires 70–80% field presence, mentoring apprentices, managing budgets and scopes, and ensuring safe, on-time delivery while maintaining quality and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of management experience in fire alarm installation within the commercial industry.
• Project management experience.
• Estimating experience.
• Fire Alarm, Access Controls, and CCTV certifications.
• Experience with Excel and other Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of construction installation projects for fire alarm systems.
• Coach and mentor technicians, apprentices, and other direct reports.
• Monitor project financials, budgets, and hours assigned to each job.
• Attend construction meetings and interface with end-users, architects, and general contractors.
• Conduct regular job site safety walkthroughs and EHS evaluations.
