Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a field service technician in Albuquerque to diagnose, service, and repair fire alarm and related building systems at customer sites.

You will interpret blueprints, assist with wiring and panel programming, and ensure safety protocols are followed. The role requires 2+ years of experience with fire alarm and access control systems, strong customer service skills, and the ability to travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound and communications systems.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams and specifications.
• Good working knowledge of computers.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls and contact customer representatives to ascertain problems.
• Diagnose, service and repair electronic fire alarm systems and related building systems at customer sites.
• Organize and perform troubleshooting and repairs per manuals and change notices.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications; follow safety procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain high satisfaction; document tasks and obtain customer signatures.
