Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm & Life Safety Technician in Maumee, OH to diagnose, repair and install fire alarm systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, interpret specs, and provide excellent service while following manuals and safety guidelines.

The role requires 3+ years of fire alarm and access control experience, a valid OH Fire Alarm License, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and flexibility for on-call rotation and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound and communications systems
• Must interpret blueprints, diagrams and specifications
• A good working knowledge of computers is necessary
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Capable of performing physical labor up to 50-70 lbs and work in ladders/scaffolding
• Overnight travel may be required
• Demonstrate high level of customer service
• Maintain truck inventory
• Adhere to safety guidelines

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other related building system products at customer sites
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications and manuals
• Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related items
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding
• Participate in a scheduled On-call rotation and train others on the service team
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions
