Fire Alarm & Life Safety Service Technician

Join Siemens as a Fire Alarm & Life Safety Service Technician and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. You will be responsible for servicing and maintaining commercial fire alarm and sprinkler systems, including performing inspections, repairs, and ensuring compliance with all standards. Additionally, you will mentor entry-level technicians, fostering growth within our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform testing, inspections, and create detailed reports for fire safety systems.
• Respond promptly to troubleshoot and repair system issues.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
• Inspect and maintain water-based fire suppression systems.
• Document deficiencies and follow reporting protocols.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain accurate documentation.
• Travel frequently to locations in Northern NJ and NYC.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience with fire alarm or sprinkler systems.
• Technician endorsement for sprinkler system maintenance.
• NICET Level I in inspection/testing or related certification, with a goal to obtain Level II within 12 months.
• Ability to work in various environments, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Higher education or certifications such as NICET Level II+ or S-98 Certificate of Fitness.
• Over 3 years of relevant experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary range: $57,820 - $99,120 annually.
