Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Fire Alarm and Life Safety Project Manager to deliver reliable fire alarm and life-safety solutions across multiple facilities. You will oversee design through installation, testing, and turnover, coordinating with internal teams, electrical contractors, inspectors, and customers to ensure safety and on-schedule delivery.

Responsibilities include installation, testing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting networks, while ensuring code compliance and proper

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• On-site work at multiple facilities.
• Willingness to obtain NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level1 within 12–18 months.
• Understanding of NFPA72 and related life-safety codes.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, inspect, and program fire alarm systems and related life-safety equipment.
• Coordinate with AHJ, electrical contractors, inspectors, and customers.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and ensure scope, materials, and schedule alignment.
• Prepare test reports and turnover documentation.
• Maintain detailed project logs and daily activity reports.
• Lead project reviews and communicate with upper management.
