Qualifications

• Proven field installation experience in Fire Alarm or Intrusion systems.
• Current state-required Physical Security or Life Safety license.
• NFPA 70/72 knowledge.
• Experience reading blueprints and site maps.
• Comfortable working at heights of 20–60 feet using lifts.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in last 3 years).
• Willingness to extensive travel (2–6 weeks) and flexible shifts including nights.

Responsibilities

• Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm systems infrastructure.
• Running low-voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.
• Installing cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.
• Conducting tests to ensure all installed cable systems and panel devices are operational.
• Troubleshooting issues with cable networks and fire alarm panels.
• Ensuring all installations comply with NFPA 70 and 72 standards.
• Collaborating on pre-installation design and planning with team members.
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed.
• Adhering to project safety requirements as set by Wachter, customers, or OSHA.
