Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Alarm Installer III to install, program, troubleshoot, and commission fire alarm systems at customer sites in Louisville, KY. The role emphasizes networked fire alarm systems while supporting panels, devices, and testing. Expect physical work, lifting, and occasional travel as needed.

Required 1–3 years in low-voltage Fire/Life Safety, HS diploma, and ability to read blueprints. NICET II is a nice-to-have; a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 1–3 years in low-voltage Fire/Life Safety systems.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 50–70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service fire alarm systems.
• Support panel repair and reprogramming, device replacement and testing.
• Read diagrams and manuals; supervise installation to meet specs.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
