Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a field service technician to install, configure, and service Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems across customer sites. You will interpret blueprints, train customers, and coordinate with project teams.

The role requires at least 3 years in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety, and flexibility for travel and on-call work. A valid driver's license is needed and a commitment to safety is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Three (3) years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Experience with hand tools, test equipment, multimeter, digital analyzer and commissioning devices.
• Able to obtain and retain licenses required by National, State and local codes.
• Ability to perform physical labor up to 50–70 lbs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, configure, commission and service Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems at customer sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals and manuals; coordinate with trades to optimize installation time.
• Train customers on operation of equipment and conduct simulations.
