The primary function of this role is to install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and program various types of alarm systems. The goal is to grow the revenues of the Alarm & Detection department while maintaining profits, satisfying customer requirements, and staying compliant with regulations. This position works closely with Project Managers and the Operations Manager.

This role requires the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with a focus on customer development, quality work, and understanding of alarm systems. It may involve travel to customer sites and occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities include:

1. Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and programming Fire Alarm, Access Control, Nurse Call, Intrusion, Sound, CCTV, and IP Video Systems.
2. Completing paperwork such as Work Tickets and Inspection Reports accurately.
3. Providing exceptional customer service.
4. Offering detailed feedback to management regarding customer issues.
5. Coordinating effectively with team members and clients.
6. Participating in on-call rotation and working flexible hours.
7. Working on low voltage systems.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in the Fire Alarm or Security industry.
• High school diploma or GED; vocational or trade school is a plus.
• Strong technical skills and willingness to learn new systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• NICET fire alarm certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 40 pounds.

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
