Job Title: Fire Alarm Installation Technician

The primary function of this role is to install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and program various types of alarm systems. The goal is to grow the revenues of the Alarm & Detection department while maintaining profits, satisfying customers’ requirements, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This position works closely with Project Managers and the Operations Manager.

This role requires the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment with a focus on customer development, quality work, and understanding of alarm systems. Travel to customer sites and occasional overnight stays may be required.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and program Fire Alarm, Access Control, Nurse Call Intrusion, Sound, CCTV, and IP Video Systems.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately, such as Work Tickets and Inspection/Deficiency Reports.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.
• Offer detailed feedback to management regarding customer issues.
• Coordinate effectively with team members and customers.
• Participate in on-call rotation and work flexible hours as needed.
• Work on low voltage systems.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience in Fire Alarm or Security industry.
• High school diploma or GED; vocational or trade school is a plus.
• Strong technical skills and willingness to learn new systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• NICET fire alarm certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Ability to lift equipment/tools up to 40 pounds.

Computer Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
