Marketing Coordinator at Fire Protection Consulting Group

The Field Technician position requires a focused and dedicated team member who is expected to manage their own projects in a positive, supportive, and collaborative environment. As a fully remote company, we are seeking a motivated individual to independently manage their duties to achieve FPCG’s goals of exceptional design and consulting services. Company division leaders will provide guidance, support, and oversight towards achieving FPCG’s goals.

In addition to an autonomous daily workflow, team members are granted 4.5 weeks of paid leave, major holidays off, and a flexible Fridays-off schedule. FPCG also supports its team through a Tuition Reimbursement program, Health & Wellness program, as well as professional development support.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform fire hydrant flow tests and produce flow test result graphs and reports.
• Perform underground hydraulic calculations and produce node maps and reports.
• Perform site and building inspections for fire and life safety systems and building components, and prepare reports of findings and recommendations for compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Assist office staff and field personnel in resolving design-related installation issues. Knowledge and application of building construction trades is a plus. Position requires an experienced and competent individual capable of successfully solving challenging problems requiring adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures or criteria.

Job Requirements:

• High school education
• Driver’s license, working vehicle, and auto insurance
• One to three years of professional experience in construction industry, fire protection design/consulting or life safety consulting field is desired
• Ability to learn and apply building/fire codes and technical standards related to fire protection and life safety systems and components
• Ability to use computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to develop strong computer skills, report writing, and knowledge of fire/life safety industry software
• Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently, when necessary
