Job summary

Thompson Safety is seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector in the United States. You will perform inspection, testing, and documentation of fire alarm and life-safety systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with NFPA standards and AHJ requirements.

You will communicate results to customers, identify deficiencies, and support timely corrective actions while maintaining professional conduct and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET fire alarm certification preferred or required where applicable.
• Ability to learn NFPA standards and local codes quickly.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection and testing of fire alarm and life-safety systems.
• Document inspection results using approved forms and electronic systems.
• Identify deficiencies and communicate corrective actions to customers.
• Perform minor corrective actions within authorized scope.
• Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition.
• Stay current with NFPA standards and AHJ requirements.
