Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as an inspector technician in the fire detection and protection industry.
• Knowledge of fire alarm, clean‑agent/special hazard suppression systems.
• Physical fitness to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with departments for successful testing and inspection.
• Inspect and maintain fire alarm systems, delivering and testing on schedule.
• Generate detailed inspection and deficiency reports.

Skills

Inspection and maintenance of fire alarm systems

Strong communication and human relations skills

Knowledge of NFPA72 and IFC code

Ability to read technical drawings

OSHA safety standards knowledge

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
