Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred.
• State or local fire alarm inspection certification or license required where applicable.
• Ability to read system documentation, drawings, and technical information.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection and testing of commercial fire alarm and life-safety systems per NFPA standards and manufacturer requirements.
• Inspect fire alarm control panels, initiating devices, notification appliances, and related components.
• Test detectors (smoke, heat, duct), pull stations, waterflow switches, and other initiating devices.
• Verify proper operation and interface with other building systems where applicable.
• Document inspection results and deficiencies accurately using approved forms and electronic reporting systems.
• Provide customers with clear explanations of findings and recommended actions.
• Complete inspection reports and required documentation in a timely manner.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and testing equipment in good working order.
