Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector in Jacksonville, FL to provide inspection and maintenance capabilities aligned with code compliance. The role involves coordinating with sales, field project teams, and clients to ensure timely and accurate testing, reporting, and service delivery.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years’ inspector technician experience in fire detection and protection, NICET Level I, NFPA knowledge, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NICET Level I certification preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and IFC fire code requirements.
• Ability to read technical drawings/diagrams and follow specifications.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with systems and service departments for testing and inspection.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs.
• Inspect and maintain fire alarm systems.
• Produce inspection reports in accordance with NFPA.
• Log, transmit inspection reports via technical devices.
• Oversee project inventory and vehicle inventory.
• Manage job scheduling and progress with focus on quality and cost control.
• Provide support and guidance to other inspectors.
