Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions seeks a Fire Alarm Inspector to provide inspection and maintenance capabilities. This role collaborates with our sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure systems are inspected and maintained in a code-compliant manner.

The position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with deadlines while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of inspector/technician experience in fire detection.
• NICET Level I certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and IFC/state fire codes.
• Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with systems and service for testing and inspection.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs of activity.
• Inspect and maintain fire alarm systems.
• Produce inspection and deficiency reports per NFPA.
• Deliver and test on schedule and within budget.
• Log and transmit inspection reports via technical devices.
• Oversee project inventory and vehicle inventory.
• Work under tight deadlines and maintain quality.
• Provide guidance to other inspectors.
• Manage job scheduling and progress efficiently and cost-effectively.
