Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring a Fire Construction Manager to lead fire alarm installation projects across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, and government environments. You will guide field teams, manage schedules, handle materials, and oversee safety and quality on site.

The role requires 5–10 years of management in fire alarm installations, plus relevant certifications; salary range reflects the market and internal equity.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of management experience in Fire Alarm Installation within the commercial industry.
• Fire Alarm, Access Controls, and CCTV certifications as relevant.
• Experience with project management and estimating tasks.
• Proficient with Excel and Microsoft products; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of fire alarm installation projects.
• Coach and mentor technicians and apprentices for quality execution.
• Order materials and ensure job readiness before site work begins.
• Monitor project financials, labor hours, and provide status updates.
• Maintain installer schedules and coordinate with Operations for delivery.
• Attend meetings and communicate with end-users, architects, and GC contractors.
• Conduct jobsite safety walkthroughs and investigations as needed.
• Set performance expectations and assist in hiring/evaluations.
