Job summary

A leading logistics company in Georgia seeks a vehicle inspector to perform visual inspections, ensure functional operations, and maintain safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma or GED and a valid US Driver’s License, along with problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills. This position requires operating vehicles and adhering to safety regulations. A Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) will be required. This is a full-time role with shifts from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid US Driver’s License.
  • Obtain and maintain a TWIC Badge issued by the Department of Homeland Security.
  • Experience operating automatic and straight shift vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspection of vehicles for defects, damages, and imperfections.
  • Inspect functional operations including doors, window locks, and seatbelts.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety policies.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Perform visual inspection of vehicles; walk around vehicle to inspect for defects, damages, and imperfections.
  • Notate any issues on VCR/CPO and enter data into the JLR system when it becomes available.
  • Inspect functional operations; doors, window locks, seatbelts, steering, compartments, seat covers, emergency releases, keys, etc.
  • Facilitate installments; guides, manuals, warnings, floormats, etc. adhering to CPO.
  • Release vehicles for further service and/or work as needed.
  • Ensure a spotter is present when backing up vehicles.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with possible overtime and/or weekend work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid US Driver’s License
  • Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
  • Experience operating automatic and straight (manual) shift vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must have demonstrated commitment to safety.
  • Must possess problem-solving abilities and be detail oriented.
Physical Working Attributes
  • Work in confined spaces
  • Work at heights of approximately 15 feet.
  • Lift, push, and or pull up to 20lbs
  • Extended periods of standing, kneeling and bending
  • Exposed to all outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, insects, and other conditions, which may exist from time to time.
