Job summary

IAP, LLC is seeking a dependable supervisor to assist the manager in planning, organizing, and implementing strategy within our port logistics team. You will help resolve customer issues and drive safety and efficiency.

This role requires a high school diploma, a valid US driver's license, and TWIC badge; you may fill in for the manager and work overtime or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid US Driver's License required.
  • TWIC Badge issued by DHS required.
  • Ability to drive both automatic and straight shift vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist manager by performing related duties.
  • Assist the manager in organizing, planning, and implementing strategy.
  • Assist in resolving customer issues to their overall satisfaction.
  • Explore opportunities to add value to the job and recommend changes to the manager.
  • Participate in recruitment with Talent Acquisition and dismissal processes with Human Resources.
  • Ensure SOPs are adhered to and health and safety procedures followed.
  • Coach, counsel, and discipline employees; motivate and ensure focus on the mission.
  • Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment and follow safety policies.
  • Fill in for manager in times of absence; make executive decisions and attend meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with possible overtime/weekend work.

  • Participate in recruitment with Talent Acquisition and dismissal processes with Human Resources
  • Ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
  • Helps to coach, counsel, and discipline employees
  • Motivate employees and ensuring a focus on the mission
  • Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety
  • Fill in for manager in times of absence. Make executive decisions, hold/ attend meetings and provide accountability
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with possible overtime and/or weekend work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
  • Drive both automatic and straight shift vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and standards.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance.
  • Knowledge of process improvement techniques.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools.
  • Knowledge of engineering and technology principles and practices.
  • Solid computer skills.
  • Must possess problem-solving abilities and be detail oriented.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and communicate clear and concise instructions to employees
Physical Working Attributes
  • Lift, push, and or pull up to 50lbs.
  • Work near high noise levels.
  • Periodically exposed to all outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, insects and other conditions which may exist from time to time.
