Job summary

A leading transportation services company in Brunswick, GA, is seeking an experienced vehicle inspector to perform interior and exterior inspections, document findings, and ensure adherence to quality standards. Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive interior inspections for fit, finish, trim, electrical components, and accessory functionality.
  • Conduct exterior inspections for body damage, paint defects, alignment issues, and overall condition.
  • Verify proper installation and operation of lights, accessories, and visible mechanical components.
  • Inspect exterior paintwork for defects, damage, or irregularities in accordance with manufacturer standards.
  • Accurately complete CAL check sheets, inspection reports, and required documentation in an efficient and thorough manner.
  • Document and clearly communicate findings, including severity of damage or defects.
  • Coordinate directly with manufacturer representatives as required to review findings and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Work collaboratively with operations and detailing teams to report and track issues identified during inspection.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with possible overtime and/or weekend work as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid US Driver’s License
  • Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
  • Experience operating automatic and straight (manual) shift vehicles.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document findings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior vehicle inspection, quality control, or automotive industry experience.
  • General knowledge of automobile components and basic vehicle systems.
  • Ability to make sound judgment calls regarding severity and classification of defects.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise documentation and feedback.
Physical Working Attributes
  • Work in confined spaces
  • Work at heights of approximately 15 feet.
  • Lift, push, and or pull up to 20lbs
  • Extended periods of standing, kneeling and bending
  • Exposed to all outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, insects, and other conditions, which may exist from time to time.
