Job summary

Regional Finance is seeking an experienced Director of Software Engineering to lead design, development, and delivery of technology solutions powering our FinTech platform. This leader will oversee multiple engineering teams responsible for customer-facing applications, digital lending platforms, APIs, integrations, and cloud-based services.

The ideal candidate combines strong engineering leadership with deep experience in financial services, fintech, or digital lending.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in engineering leadership.
• Experience leading teams within FinTech, banking, payments, lending, or financial services organizations.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale digital products and cloud-based solutions.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture, APIs, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in regulated environments with a focus on security and compliance.
• Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing software engineering teams.
• Define and execute the engineering strategy and technology roadmap.
• Drive the delivery of scalable, cloud-native applications and platforms.
• Partner with Product and business leaders to prioritize and deliver strategic initiatives.
• Establish engineering best practices related to architecture, security, quality, and performance.
• Champion Agile development, DevOps, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Support innovation through the use of AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and data privacy requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships, technology investments, and engineering budgets.
