Job summary

Regional Finance in the United States is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead the design, development, and delivery of modern technology solutions powering our FinTech platform.

This leadership role oversees multiple engineering teams responsible for customer-facing applications, digital lending, APIs, and cloud services, partnering with Product, Data, Risk, Operations, and Compliance to drive secure, scalable solutions that accelerate growth and exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in engineering leadership.
• Experience leading teams within FinTech, banking, payments, lending, or financial services organizations.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale digital products and cloud-based solutions.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture, APIs, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in regulated environments with a focus on security and compliance.
• Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing software engineering teams.
• Define and execute the engineering strategy and technology roadmap.
• Drive the delivery of scalable, cloud-native applications and platforms.
• Partner with Product and business leaders to prioritize and deliver strategic initiatives.
• Establish engineering best practices related to architecture, security, quality, and performance.
• Champion Agile development, DevOps, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Support innovation through the use of AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and data privacy requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships, technology investments, and engineering budgets.
