Job summary

Autoscribe Corporation, a leading fintech payment processing firm, seeks an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and strengthen internal controls. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA, CMA, or CCM strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 4+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Experience in fintech, payment processing, or high-volume transaction environments is strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems.
• SQL or data querying experience is a plus.
• Strong command of GAAP.
• Familiarity with tax considerations including Section 179.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, general ledger, and payroll.
• Oversee reconciliation of high-volume payment flows and trust account disbursements.
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Partner with the Chief Compliance Officer to strengthen internal controls and fraud prevention measures.
• Manage cash concentration and liquidity planning to support operational needs.
• Act as liaison with external tax partners to ensure timely filings.
• Analyze program and campaign performance, including yield and profitability; support budgeting and planning.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
