Job summary

Basic Capital Group, a fintech company disrupting America's retirement industry, is hiring its first Controller to own accounting, tax, and finance operations for proprietary LLC investments.

Based in New York, you will manage accounting for over 1,000 LLCs, prepare year‑end returns and K‑1s, lead monthly close, budgeting, AP/AR, and financial reporting, and collaborate with engineering to automate workflows using AI to keep every entity reconciled.

Qualifications

• Experience with partnership or LLC accounting, including capital accounts, allocations, and K-1s.
• Hands-on experience preparing partnership returns in UltraTax CS or similar professional tax software.
• Controller-level experience with monthly close, budgeting, AP/AR, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting and administration for over 1,000 LLCs, including monthly loan and servicing tapes.
• Prepare and file year-end tax returns and K-1s for every LLC.
• Partner with engineering to automate accounting workflows using AI and do deep data work to keep every entity reconciled.
• Experience with partnership or LLC accounting, including capital accounts, allocations, and K-1s.
