Job summary

Avery Dennison in Kent, WA is seeking a Finishing Operator II for the 2nd shift (M-F, 2pm-10pm). This full-time manufacturing role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced production environment.

You will sort, label and package finished goods, inspect appearance, maintain packing materials, prepare cores, and coordinate with other shifts. Candidates should have a high school diploma (or GED) or 3+ years manufacturing experience, with lift truck competency and the ability to lift

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Safety must be a core value and role model for others, encouraging adherence to safety practices.
• Strong service and quality focus; address issues and communicate root causes to the team.
• Able to contribute in a team-based environment and cross-train as needed.
• Flexible and dependable to support production and customer focus.
• Willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.
• Must obtain Lift Truck Operator’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Preferred: 3-5+ years of experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Sort, label, and package finished goods per customer specs and quality standards.
• Inspect general appearance of finished product.
• Maintain a steady supply of packaging materials.
• Prepare cores for machine operators.
• Coordinate information across shift/department for smooth operations.
• Track multiple orders being packed concurrently.
• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities.
• Assist in equipment maintenance as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
